Water board of Nicosia (SYL) (www.wbn.org.cy)

Established in 1953 SYL supplies water to a population of 200.000. It operates a 750 Km network and 80% of the water supplied is desalinated. Water loss amounts to 22% of the water entering supply.

The network is subdivided into districts and they already use automatic correlators to detect and locate leakage.
